Carl M. Gilbert is the president of Project Management Solutions CMG inc. since 2001. He has over a fourteen year experience in project management, mainly in information technologies and construction, as consultant, trainer and project director. He already delivered many courses in project management and also preparation seminars for PMP certification in North America, Europe and Asia.

Since 1995, he specializes in strategic consulting in project management and portfolio management, including Project Management Offices (PMO) implementations, organizational maturity assessments and project managers competency development.

Carl M. Gilbert is a professional engineer with a degree from the École Polytechnique de Montréal. He has a Master in Project Management, from the Université du Québec à Montréal, with a specialization in International Project Management.

He also leads regularly value analysis workshops for construction, IT and re-enginering projects. He teaches Value Analysis in many universities, including the Université du Québec à Montréal, in the Master Program in Project Management.

He has very advanced knowledge in computers and in integrated project management systems. He masters a wide variety of project management softwares and tools, like Microsoft Project, Primavera Project Planner, Open Plan Professional, Timberline Precision Estimating, Timeline, Espri (estimating software), etc.

He has sat on the Board of Directors of the Chapter of Montreal of the Project Management Institute from 1996 to 2005, where he was president until August 2005. He’s back in 2007-2008 as Director of Certification and Training Programs at PMI-Montreal, role that he previously occupied from 1999 to 2004. He is an experienced PMP trainer for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification team.

Finally, he was Vice-President of the Société canadienne d'analyse de la valeur for three years (1995-98).
